Carly desires to understand a clients’ inner subjective experience and believes therapy begins with meeting them wherever they are on their path. She is committed to supporting a client’s individual needs and working at a pace conducive to healing current and past wounds. She believes that this can ultimately create a way forward for you to embrace your most fulfilled and authentic self. Brief Bio

Carly Brahim is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who has had experience in mental health services for the past 4 years. She is based in Los Angeles, California and earned her Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Southern California. Prior to her Masters, Carly was certified as an ESL teacher in Florence, Italy which contributed to her passion for working with diverse populations of people and her understanding of people’s feelings and communication styles cross-culturally.
Carly’s experience in mental health started at PCH Treatment Center, a day and residential treatment center, where she specifically worked within the Family Weekend Program, supporting families of clients suffering from a range of mental health issues. Her clinical training began at The Maple Counseling Center where she received training primarily in psychodynamic and relational psychotherapy. She treated young adults and adults suffering from a variety of mental health concerns including, but not limited to, attachment and relational issues, anxiety, depression, intimacy issues, self-esteem, grief and loss, family conflict, and adjustment to life transitions. Carly also received psychodynamic training at Pelican Cove Counseling Center where she treated teens and young adults of diverse cultural backgrounds struggling with work, school, complex trauma, communication issues, and emotional dysregulation.
