Confidentiality 

The law generally protects the confidentiality of all communication between patients and psychologists. No information is disclosed without prior written consent from the patient. However, there are some exceptions that require the disclosure of confidential information to the appropriate authorities and seek help such as:

• Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse.
• If a patient intends to harm themselves.
• If a patient is threatening serious bodily harm to another person.

Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please give a notice with at least 48 business hours in advance. Otherwise, you will be charged for the full cost of the session.

Insurance

Dr. Pham accepts Blueshield, Beechstreet, Cigna, ComPsych, Magellan, and MHN.  She is also an out-of-network provider for all PPO insurance plans. Post session, she can provide you with a "superbill" statement that you can submit to your insurance company for direct reimbursement. Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully and find the answers to the following questions:

• Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
• What is my deductible and has it been met?
• How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
• What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
• Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Fees

Dr. Pham prefers to work as a fee-for-service provider in order to ensure confidentiality and autonomy of care.  She dedicates 10% of her time towards pro-bono work. Reduced fee is available for patients who need help but are in hardship.

Payment

Payments are made at the time of your session by check or cash. For your convenience, you have the option to pay for services online using any of the major credit cards or securely through Paypal.
