Cassandra is a dedicated clinician who is passionate in helping her clients rediscover the joy of eating. She recognizes the importance of nourishing the body from the inside out in order to be your best self. She provides a warm and welcoming environment and exercises skills in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Intuitive Eating (IE), Health at Every Size (HAES), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). 

Cassandra wants to empower her clients to break free of diet-culture conditioned thoughts and embrace health in all shapes and sizes. She provides individualized care, taking into consideration food allergies/intolerances, preferences, and chronic health conditions.

Brief Bio

Cassandra Bursma is a Registered Dietitian that brings 5 years of experience in both clinical and outpatient settings, serving children, adolescents, adults and athletes. Her specialities include: eating disorders, nutrition support, lifestyle, and integrative and functional medicine. 

Cassandra received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Management at Rochester Institute of Technology. She then went on to complete her 1,200-hour Dietetic Internship back in her home state, Massachusetts, at Mount Auburn Hospital, a Harvard-affiliated teaching hospital. 

Finding solutions that empower her clients to adopt healthy attitudes and practices is her life’s work. She has poured her efforts into studying disordered eating, researching functional nutrition therapy and complementary medicine approaches to boost gut heath, and assisting her clients in investing in their health.

With a passion for health and science, she believes that optimal nutrition and going the extra mile for others, especially her clients, will positively impact our health and the world we live in.
