Maedeh is committed to helping others through a collaborative approach with core values of self-respect, respect for others, honesty, authenticity, and reliability. She is dedicated to providing a safe space and compassionate setting where her clients are understood, listened to, and supported. Her goal is to contribute to solutions for mental health by helping her clients to overcome the obstacles that are negatively affecting their quality of life. 

She  believes all people have the right to lead a happy life, despite their beliefs, values, and practices. Her major focus is to acquire a deeper insight into diversity and cultural psychology and know how best to help clients dealing with a variety of problems per their cultural backgrounds. She tries actively to promote an inclusive culture when dealing with others, so that everyone connected to her has the opportunity to express their concerns and opinions.

Maedeh’s approach is to change her clients’ understanding of their situation. She is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of those in need of support on their healing journey.

Brief Bio

Maedeh is a clinical psychology intern at PsychServes. She is currently completing her doctorate in Applied Clinical Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She received her master’s in counseling from the City University of Seattle. Maedeh has experience working with issues related to depression, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship distress, family conflict, emotional dysregulation, trauma and personality disorders. She mainly provided individual counseling to adolescents and adults. She has additional experience facilitating intake assessments. Maedeh uses different interventions and techniques to help clients, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy. She facilitated some workshops on conflict resolution, anxiety, and depression at the North Shore Multicultural Society in Vancouver, BC. Moreover, Maedeh was fortunate to have the privilege to work with a wide array of new immigrants. This experience has helped her realize the importance of understanding other cultures and values and appreciate diversity.
