Richard Lautenbacher, PsyD

Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY33652)

Approaches to Therapy

Dr. Lautenbacher uses primarily a psychodynamic perspective. He focuses on compassionately building rapport and adapting to your unique needs and goals. The approach is then to explore past experiences, current cognitions, and patterns of behavior with a focus on the client’s unique needs. The therapeutic goal is to help gain insights and catharsis (“ah-ha” moments) with the client toward their psychological improvement and well-being.

Life can be overwhelming at times, and be experienced as anxiety, depression, ruminating thoughts, repeating patterns, etc. Having an experienced person to listen, “get ” you, and explore together builds self-awareness, acceptance, a sense of hope; a healthier you.
