Brief Bio

Dr. Hosseini’s aspiration has always been to understand the complexity of human behavior and through this lens, she has been able to support her clients to explore distinct ways to live more satisfying and fulfilling lives.

As a licensed clinical psychologist, she has provided psychotherapy for adults, children, couples, and groups within community mental health centers, private practices and inpatient psychological facilities. Dr. Hosseini takes pride in working with clients from various cultural backgrounds, the LGBTQ community, as well as those with diverse mental health conditions, such as: bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD and phobia. 

She has two advanced degrees: 

  • Masters in Counseling Psychology from Alliant International University.
  • Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University.  

She has advanced training in meditation &mindfulness-based treatments, CBT, DBT, neuropsychology, trauma, and depression.  

In addition to clinical work, Dr. Hosseini is actively involved in research, publishes and presents on topics related to mindfulness, parenting, couples and family issues, happiness, empowerment for women, and the impact of divorce and family separation on children.

Dr. Hosseini is a regular guest speaker at the UCLA Health Talk Series and a guest expert at Pars TV and Radio Iran.
